Let's Get Acquainted

Welcome to our office!  The following information is intended to help you get the most out of your acupuncture, massage therapy, herbal care, and to make sure you have a great experience in our office.

Start With The End In Mind

Your acupuncture massage and herbal care are an investment in you.  Know your time commitment and goals of treatment from the beginning.  Stopping treatment before you have finished corrective care is a loss of your time and money,  Acupuncture, massage, and herbal care should not be used like a pain pill.  The acupuncturist is correcting inbalances in your energy flow---energetic problems that interfer with your body,s natural ability to stay healthy without drugs.  Keep your appointments!  You lose progress when too much time passes between visits.  If you have been given stretches or exercises, do them daily.  They are designed to help you with the healing process.

Your Office Visit

When you come in, please sign in at the front desk.  The receptionist will hand you your paperwork and tell the acupuncturist that you are here.  You will be taken to the treatment room where you will be asked to remove all jewelry outer clothing, cell phone and put on a gown before the acupuncturist comes in.  Feel free to lie down on the treatment table to help your muscles relax before the treatment.  After the treatment, the acupuncturist will assist you in making your next appointment.

When You Miss An Appointment Or Need An Appointment

Our patients are busy people with busy schedules.  If you miss an appointment, come in the same day or following day.  If the same day or following day is not available, make up your missed appointment within the same week..  If for any reason you need an extra treatment before your next scheduled appointment, we will always make time for you.  If at all possible, call at least a day ahead to let us know that you are coming in.  You can call for an appointment day or night on our 24 hour message machine.  Unless we are unable to see you at the time you want, consider yourself scheduled.  Otherwise, we will call you as soon as we check our messages.  Good communication helps to keep our office schedule running on time.
